Hello!

Oh wow! Look how long I have abandoned this blog! I'm nowhere, still here, but not gone.

It’s the holidays and I have been relaxing so much it scares me. This has got to be the one holiday in which I do not make my way to school. And I am so grateful for that.

So, many things/events occurred in the course of what, a month?
Anyway, on the 30th of May it was my engagement. Alhamdulillah, I am now officially engaged to my longtime partner (finally!) Haha I have dreamt of this moment for as long as I can remember and when it finally arrived, I was really beyond ecstatic! 5 more months and we will be married! InsyaAllah.

The weekend after, I attended my first baby shower of a dear friend, Farhan. She's due not until early of July. Her husband planned it for her which is so sweet of him. I can't believe she's becoming a mother soon. Wishing you a smooth delivery and I know the both of you will be great parents!

A week after the engagement, my mom underwent a minor surgery. As it turned out, she has Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The carpal tunnel (the median nerve at the wrist which is responsible to pass sensations to the thumb, index finger) suffers compression which affected her fingers in which they became numb or really painful that she can’t even bend/straightened them. It went really bad one day that a check-up required her to go for the surgery (the only cure, even medication won’t help). Apparently, the doctor said that this is the most common daily minor surgery. We were shocked to know that even young adults like me and even teenagers are the most common patients. The doctor related this fact to the frequent use of laptop/computers as we use our fingers in a repetitive maneuver. As for my mom, she does a lot of housework (she just can’t sit still), so that explains it all. She worked too hard.

Since it’s the school holidays, I’ve been taking care of her as she can’t use her hands to manage herself. It’s been a really great bonding experience. As for now, her bandages have been removed. She can bathe on her own, she’s been cooking a little but with really tight supervision from all of us. Knowing her, we know she won’t rest. Haha This Friday will be her next medical appointment in which the thread from her stitches at the wrists will be removed. Hope everything will be fine.

In the midst of all that, my sister registered her first day of university. I got all chocked up don’t ask me why. Haha She grows so fast! She is currently continuing her studies in Business and Management in Management and Science University (MSU) in Shah Alam. And you guessed it right, yours truly is her driver! Study hard and smart ok?

Besides that, last weekend, me and my hommies had a simple hen night to celebrate the 3 of us who will be getting married insyaAllah this year. It was purely fun! We kinda went back to our schooling days being goofy and loud like nobody’s business. It was heavenly as we did nothing but laughed and talked non-stop until our eyelids failed us! Thanks to Nazliah for making it happen in the first place. I had loads of fun and I love you girls even more!

And to top it off, lots and lots of wedding. I can’t possibly go to every wedding so I am truly sorry for those I did not attend. I wish you a happy and blessed marriage. I have more this weekend which I am really looking forward to, especially yours, Hudah!

For now, this will do to update my blog :)
